That's what Mike Florio at ProFootballTalk.com said.
According to a "league source" to whom Florio spoke, Washington Redskins veteran tackle Chris Samuels had a procedure to clean out some particles in his elbow.
A few fans of the Website (and I'm one of them) told Florio that they saw Samuels at a DC area hospital. That prompted him to make a few calls and he found the source who gave him the story.
Be advised that the story is in a place called the "Rumor Mill".
In any case, it doesn't seem to be that big a deal, routine maintenance for a veteran of the trenches entering his ninth year. According to the counter in the sidebar here, there are 32 days left until the start of training camp and that's plenty of time to bounce back from something like that.
In fact, if the Redskins were playing the Giants this Sunday, he'd be listed as probable.
