After further review, it turns out that Antony Mix has a broken rib after all.
On the second-half kickoff, Mix and teammate Nemo Broughton closed in to make the tackle. Broughton's helmet wound up in Mix's rib cage. It was announced during the game that there was no fracture but additional examination today revealed the broken bone.
This development is not good news for Mix, who had to recover from a hamstring injury in order to play on Friday. The Redskins like his size and potential, but those attributes do the team no good in the trainer's room.
