We'll keep a running list of the Redskins reported cuts today as word filters in. These will not be official until the team announces them, which will not be until sometime after 6 p.m. Comments on some of the players are below the list.

Position-player
S Davonte Shannon
WR Aldrick Robinson
S Chris Horton--It seems safe to list him here as his latest tweet on @ThePredator48 reads, "Thank you #RedskinNation for all that you have given me in my 3 yrs here. My time is up here but #DMV will always have a place in my heart."
OLB Thadeus Gibson
S Anderson Russell
OL Clint Oldenburg
G Maurice Hurt
LB Horation Blades
DL Jeff Stehle
QB's Kellen Clemens and Matt Gutierrez--According to a report, the Redskins will keep two quarterbacks. Of course, those would be John Beck and Rex Grossman, leaving Clemens and Gutierrez on the outside looking in.
OL Donovan Raiola
OT Selvish Capers
TE Tony Curtis
RB-FB Keiland Williams
LB Edgar Jones
DL Doug Worthington
NT Anthony Bryant
Comments
Robinson was drafted as a deep threat and a possible returner but he had problems getting open and he had issues handling kicks.
Horton got off to a promising start as a rookie but he was unable to stay healthy. His release is probably good news for rookie DeJon Gomes.
Along with other, I projeted Hurt to make the 53-man roster. He has some talent but he was inconsistent. He should be headed to the practice squad.
Blades was a sixth-round pick of the Redskins in 2007. He has started seven games but most of his contribution has been on special teams.
If Gutierrez and Clemens are both released (if true, that's one call I made correctly) that potentially leaves room for the Redskins to carry Brandon Banks (who indicated via Twitter that he has made the team) as strictly a kick returner. They could then carry six wide receivers or go with an extra player at another position of need.
With Comcast SportsNet's Kelli Johnson reporting that the Redskins will keep fullback Mike Sellers, the handwriting was on the wall for Keiland Williams.
Within minutes after we had word that rookie nose tackle Chris Neild said that he had been told he wold make the team, we got word that veteran NT Anthony Bryant was out. I thought this was a possibility as Bryant is nothing special but I did not have the guts to predict it.

Ryan Torrain could be released instead of Keiland Williams. Williams showed last season he could run in the offense and he can block well. Williams and Roy Helu aren't good blockers. There is a reason Tim Hightower played most of the first have against the Ravens and Helu didn't. I think the coaches would want to have a backup HB that they can trust to block. Then again, they could just keep Evan Royster but I am not sure he has earned a spot.

Keiland Williams hasn't shown much. No way Torain gets cut before Williams. Put down the pipe.

Glad HB Blades is gone(overrated). Sorry to see Horton leave,he was a very good player at times. Glad Brandon Banks and Sellers still around, we need both

I like the move of going with Neild instead of Bryant, more upside and Neild is a high motor, young and hungry type player.

@Luqman, as of right now, both Stallworth and Paul are on.

@TJ, agree 100%, Bryant just a guy, Neild could be more.
