When Niles Paul found out that he had been fined $20,000 by the NFL for what was ruled an illegal hit on punt returner Austin Pettis, he did what any social media aware rookie would do--he posted about it on Twitter.
Evidenly Pettis, also a rookie, follows Paul because he responded with a mea culpa.
@Niles_Paul damn bro they hit u deep in the pockets....appeal it I shoulda called for the fair catch lol! That's all bad
Pettis also tweeted that he got a "two-day headache" from the hit (might that be called a concussion?) and he again lamented that he didn't call for a fair catch.
Go check out the whole exchange at Turf Show Times, SB Nation's Rams site.

It's on YouTube until the NFL complains:

Looks like Paul tried to turn his helmet away (to the right).
