The Redskins have moved rookie cornerback Brandyn Thompson from the practice squad to the active roster and have released offensive lineman Jonathan Compass, according to multiple media reports.
Thompson, a seventh-round pick out of Boise State in this year’s draft, made the roster out of training camp but he was released on Oct. 4 and added to the practice squad after clearing waivers. The Redskins are down one cornerback for Sunday’s game against the Bills as Byron Westbrook has been declared out. DeAngelo Hall and Phillip Buchanon are questionable for the game so the team added Thompson to bolster the depth at the position.
Compas was just signed to the Redskins earlier this week.
Update: The Redskins have confirmed these roster moves via a press release.
