Seven-sack performance a rarity for Redskins

Fans better enjoy the Redskins’ seven-sack effort at St. Louis on Sunday because it doesn’t happen often (source: Pro Football Reference). The last five times the Redskins had at least seven sacks.

2009: 8 at Oakland. Brian Orakpo 4, Andre Carter 2, Reed Doughty 1 and Lorenzo Alexander 1.

2011: 7 at St. Louis. Orakpo 2.5, Stephen Bowen 1.5, Adam Carriker 1, Ryan  Kerrigan 1, Team 1.

2005: 7 vs. Dallas. Phillip Daniels 4, Marcus Washington 2, Renaldo Wynn .5, Joe Salave’a .5.

1993: 7 vs. Atlanta. Monte Coleman 2, Al Noga 2, Sterling Palmer 2, Bobby Wilson 1. 

1990: 8 vs. Dallas. All 1 sack – Todd Bowles, Andre Collins, Kurt Gouveia, Darryl Grant, Charles Mann, Wilber Marshall, Tracy Rocker.
