Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan was called for a 9-yard unnecessary roughness penalty against Miami, a call coach Mike Shanahan didn’t agree with.
“In my opinion it wasn’t a very good call at all,” he said. “There was no helmet to helmet. Sometimes those guys make mistakes.”
The Redskins have been called for 12 penalties that were called unnecessary roughness, personal foul, face-mask or roughing the passer.
Unnecessary roughness (5): Perry Riley, Niles Paul, DeAngelo Hall, Trent Williams and Fred Davis
Personal foul (3): Williams, Riley and Kerrigan.
Face-mask (2): Hall and LaRon Landry.
Roughing the passer (2): Rob Jackson and Rocky McIntosh
