The Redskins and 49ers have taken different approaches to building their current rosters.
From 2008 and earlier, the Redskins have only nine draft choices still with the organization. San Francisco has 17 picks still with the team.
Granted, the Redskins have made the playoffs twice (2005 and 2007) since the 49ers last made it (2002), but it still represents a difference in thinking.
