London Fletcher’s future has been a topic of conversation over the past 24 hours or so. As Real Redskins is ahead of the curve, we discussed it here last week.
It is a given that the Redskins need Fletcher both as a leader and as a player. The only worrisome aspect here is that Fletcher left each of his two previous teams when his contracts with them expired.
However, Fletcher is older now and probably more entrenched here than he was in his previous cities. The chances that he will stay, despite the continued on- and off-field frustrations that have been part of being a Redskin, seem to be pretty good.
