Here is what we will be talking about on Thursday at Redskins Park
The suspensions of Fred Davis and Trent Williams have been pretty thoroughly explored but the certainly will remain a topic the rest of the week. We have yet to hear from Kyle Shanahan, who will have to put together some semblance of an offensive attack without two of the unit’s best players for the rest of the season.
Jim Haslett does not have an easy task this week, either. He needs to find a way to stop Tom Brady from being able to complete passes to receiver Wes Welker and tight end Rob Gronkowski at will. He won’t give away much of his scheme but the usual formula is to try to get pressure on Brady.
The starting strong safety and the punter missed practice yesterday and as odd as it may seem, the Redskins might be worse off if Sav Rocca, who is nursing an ankle injury, can’t go than if LaRon Landry, who missed the last game with a groin injury. With the offense likely to struggle, Rocca could be called upon frequently to flip field position to try to keep the Redskins in the game.
