It appears that some buzz is starting to develop that the Redskins are going to make a move for Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III.
In an article about possible destinations for Colts QB Peyton Manning, Jason LaCanfora of the NFL said that the Redskins were unlikely to sign Manning should the Colts release him. One of the reasons LaCanfora gave was that, “execs I talk to expect Washington to make a move for St. Louis' No. 2 overall slot in the draft, and select whichever quarterback doesn't go first overall (at this point, it looks like Griffin).”
Now, keep in mind that these are just guesses on the part of league executives. They are educated guesses to be sure, but just guesses nonetheless. This is quite different from, say, a report citing sources in the Redskins organization.
Still, it’s interesting, something else to throw into the discussion as we count down the days to the draft on April 26 (93 days, if you were wondering).
