Redskins receiver Donte Stallworth was like millions of other football fans on Saturday as he watched the NFL divisional playoff games while taking to Twitter (@DonteStallworth) to offer a running commentary.
Most fans have not played in the NFL and if their team is not involved in the game they tend to pick a team to root for whatever reason. But Stallworth, who has played for six different teams in nine years in the NFL, did not take sides.
“That boy @DonteWhitner is out there HITTIN!!!!,” Stallworth tweeted, referring to the 49ers safety who was dishing out some hard hits during the game.

A little later on he tweeted, “I see you DEVERY!!!,” after a nice catch by Devery Henderson, Stallworth’s former teammate with the Saints.
Stallworth rooting for both teams apparently frustrated one fan, who wanted him to quit switching jerseys. This was Stallworth’s response:
We all root for our friends to do well. If Stallworth’s comments are any indication, professional football players are no different.
