Colts owner Jim Irsay says that either Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III could be his team’s pick in the NFL draft a month from today.
"I don't think it's either-or, where only one of them is going to succeed. I think they're both going to be great," said Irsay at the NFL owners meetings today.
Irsay’s Colts have the first overall pick in the draft and the Redskins have the second. Most believe that the Colts will take Luck, Irsay’s comments notwithstanding and the Redskins will get Griffin.
Irsay did not rule out ending the suspense early and signing the team’s quarterback prior to the draft.
"If we decided to do a deal early with one of them, that's something we could definitely look into," Irsay said. "But we're still in the evaluation process right now."

I genuinely believe that regardless of all the hyperventilating and people slamming the Redskins for how much they gave up to be in the second spot, several other teams probably would like to be in their shoes come draft day. Whether Andrew Luck or RG3, the Redskins stand a good chance of having a successful QB for years to come. Lots of other teams can't say that right now.
