Mike Jones of the Washington Post reported that the Redskins “have expressed interest” in Texans guard Mike Brisiel.
Brisiel, who turned 29 yesterday, made the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State in 2006 and he started 13 games for the AFC South champions last year. In all, he has started 47 games in five years with Houston.
It is not hard to connect the dots to find a connection between Brisiel and the Redskins. Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan held the same job with the Texans from 2008-2009 when Bisiel started 21 games.
An expression of interest does not necessarily lead to a visit or a contract offer but it’s something to keep an eye on.
