Adam Schefter just tweeted the following:
NFL is taking away millions of dolllar of salary-cap space from Cowboys and Redskins for how they front-loaded deals during uncapped year.
No more details are given. Presumably they will be penalized for dumping millions of dollars of salary and bonuses that were due to players, primarily Albert Haynesworth and DeAngelo Hall.
Update: Schefter reported that the Redskins will lose $36 million in cap space. They will be able to split that over the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
