We got a quick update on the status of wide receiver Eddie Royal from John Clayton this afternoon. The ESPN NFL insider tweeted the following:
Things are going to heat up on WR Eddie Royal this afternoon He's in San Diego today but the Redskins and others still want him.
Royal was so close to signing with the Redskins on Tuesday night that multiple media outlets reported that he had indeed inked a contract. However, interest from San Diego and other places came in and Royal and his agent decided to keep looking.
