I normally don’t do posts about nothing but here I am making an exception due to popular demand. Here goes:
There is no news about the Redskins’ and Cowboys’ arbitration case to try to overturn the salary cap penalties imposed on them by Giants owner John Mara and part of the NFL Management Council (the part that presumably does not include Jerry Jones, who is on the management council).
Various media members have contacted both of the teams and the league and all parties have said that a date for the arbitration hearing in front of Stephen Burbank has not been set. There was no estimate as to whether the hearing would be set sometime days from now, weeks from now, or months from now.
This doesn’t mean that there is not a lot going on behind the scenes as lawyers and others on both sides work to prepare their cases. But, from our perspective, nothing is happening.
So there is your post about nothing. Insert an apprioriate Seinfeld reference here.
