The Redskins’ schedule was released and the highlights are a season opener in New Orleans, a Thanksgiving Day game in Dallas, a Monday night contest at FedEx Field against the Giants, and a season finale with the Cowboys coming to Washington.
The Giants game, on Monday, Dec. 3, is Washington’s only prime-time appearance. The Thanksgiving game also will be nationally televised. Games at Tampa Bay and at home against the Vikings are scheduled for 4:15 p.m. starts, so they could be televised nationally as part of a FOX doubleheader.
The Carolina Panthers will be coming to FedEx Field on Nov. 4. That game could match up the last two Heisman Trophy winners at quarterback if the Redskins, as expected, draft Robert Griffin III next week. Cam Newton, the 2010 Heisman winner, quarterbacks Carolina.
The Redskins get one of the favored late by weeks. Theirs will come in Week 10, the weekend of Nov. 11. Byes are scheduled for Week 4 through Week 11.

Hopefully we get our first win ever against Dallas on Turkey Day. 0-6 effin' hurts.
