The Redskins are hosting Robert Griffin III at Redskins Park today. Unlike visits by team staff to a prospect’s college town, which are unlimited, a player can make one visit to a team facility prior to the draft.
There were some superfluous reports that Griffin would not work out for the Redskins while he is in Ashburn. Those reports, some of which originated from NFL.com, were not necessary because teams can’t work players out during visits to their facilities. That can only happen once prior to the draft and it must take place in the prospect’s college town.
Adam Schefter is reporting via Twitter that Andrew Luck, who is currently visiting the Colts, is scheduled to arrive in Washington later today. He is likely to get the same wine and dine treatment that Griffin got last night (reports are that RG3 and team brass went to the Palm at Tysons) and then will go through what basically is a job interview tomorrow.
Griffin does not yet have a visit scheduled with the Colts. They are said to be still deciding between him and Luck for the first overall pick.
