Looks like Leigh Torrence 2.0 in Washington is no more. The veteran cornerback was released after the Redskins claimed former Jaguars and Bengals defensive back Morgan Trent off waivers on Friday, according to multiple reports.
The 30-year-old Torrence, signed with the Redskins in April after two seasons with New Orleans. The 5-foot-11 corner played four seasons with the Saints after being a member of the Redskins from 2006-2008.
The depth chart remains crowded behind starters DeAngelo Hall and Josh Wilson plus projected nickel corner Cedric Griffin. Trent, Kevin Barnes, Brandyn Thompson, Richard Crawford, Chase Minnifield are battling for the additional 1-2 remaining spots.
