A few quick hits to get your Tuesday morning going:
--In case you missed the correction in the article yesterday, it turns out that Bruce Allen would like to see the NFL go back to the pre-1974 rule and have kickoffs come from the 40-yard line. There was some confusion over him advocating kickoffs going “back to” the 40 in the Monday Morning Quarterback column he wrote filling in for Peter King on SI.com. Many assumed that Allen meant to say the 30, where it was prior to last year. But Redskins PR clarified that he did mean the 40 as an alternative to eliminating the kickoff altogether.
--I was asked on Twitter yesterday if I thought that RG3 would sign by next Monday. Here was my response: “Anything could happen. But I think that at some point this week RG3 will tell agent he doesn't want to miss time, get it done.”
--I have a few details on the rookie camp the Redskins are starting on Monday. One thing that was surprising to learn when I looked into it was that the Redskins are starting it a week and a half later than the CBA permits them to.
--My friends at Hogs Haven had a chat with Adam Gettis and they got some interesting nuggets out of the Redskins’ fifth-round pick including some of the mechanics of zone blocking.
