Redskins wide receiver Leonard Hankerson was removed from the practice field on a cart during practice with what coach Mike Shanahan said was “heat illness”.
Hankerson left mid-practice on the cart and did not return. Shanahan said that he received an IV and should be fine.
Another receiver, Josh Morgan, was taken to the locker room in a cart at the conclusion of practice. Shanahan also said that he also is likely to get an IV and should be fine.
During practice temperatures were in the upper 80’s with high humidity.
