Wide receiver Pierre Garçon did not practice Wednesday, four days after injuring his right foot in the first quarter of the Redskins’ victory in New Orleans.
Garçon joined his teammates on the practice field and did some stretching and light jogging. But he did not participate in any positional or team drills, Coach Mike Shanahan said.
“We’ll see how he is tomorrow,” is all Shanahan would say when asked about Garçon, who led the Redskins in receiving with 109 yards and a score. He was injured on his 88-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter.
Garçon did not stop to speak to reporters as he walked from the field to the team’s facility. After the game, though, he expressed optimism about playing Sunday in St. Louis.
