Here is what you need to know on this Friday, September 13, just two days before the Redskins travel to St. Louis for the second game of the RG3 era.

Will Garçon play on Sunday?
Pierre Garçon was having a spectacular debut as a Redskin when it was cut short after just eight plays when he was injured during his first-quarter 88-yard touchdown catch and run. Will his injury, described by Mike Shanahan as being similar to turf tow only on the foot itself, keep him out of the lineup against the Rams?
Yesterday Shanahan said that Garçon was “very limited” in practice and that they would see what he can do on Friday. The interesting part was when Shanahan said that the foot was “just sore” and, in response to a question, said that Garçon’s ability to play on Sunday was a matter of “pain tolerance”.
The use of those terms could be taken as a challenge to Garçon. NFL players are not expected to play if doing so could cause an injury to get worse; if it’s just a matter of pain tolerance they are generally expected to go.
The issue of playing through pain is magnified on this team after long snapper Nick Sundberg continued to play after breaking his arm during the first half of the Colts game. That set the bar for pain tolerance and it may not be acceptable in the locker room for Garçon to sit out on Sunday.
We will get the final injury report this afternoon.
Today’s schedule

In case you missed it
RG3 sets the leadership bar by doing what he calls “non-quarterbackish” things.
With a new snapper, the field goal unit will have to get in sync in a hurry.
Days until: Redskins @ Rams 2; home opener vs. Bengals 9; RG3’s first division game @ Giants 37; Thanksgiving @ Cowboys 69
