Two Redskins and one Rams player were fined by the NFL for their actions during last Sunday’s chippy game in St. Louis.
Wide receiver Josh Morgan was fined $7,875 for throwing the ball at Cortland Finnegan out of frustration as the clock wound down, an NFL spokesman confirmed Friday. Morgan was penalized 15 yards on the play for unsportsmanlike conduct, taking the Redskins out of field goal range in a 31-28 defeat.
Linebacker Lorenzo Alexander, meantime, was fined $15,750 for his horse collar tackle on Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola.
And Rams cornerback Janoris Jenkins was fined $15,750 for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Fred Davis. The Redskins were concerned that Davis had suffered a concussion on the play, but the tight end was cleared for contact after passing a baseline test.
