Trent Williams has been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game in Tampa, Coach Mike Shanahan said.
Williams, the Redskins' starting left tackle and arguably second most important player on offense behind quarterback Robert Griffin III, suffered a bone bruise on his right knee in the first quarter of last week’s game. He was limited in practice Friday.
“I did what I could,” Williams said of practice. “I did more than yesterday. That’s always a good sign.”
Asked if he could suit up if the Buccaneers game were today, Williams responded, “I don’t know. It would be tough.
If Williams does not play, journeyman Jordan Black is expected to get his first NFL start since 2010.
