Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw missed four games last year with a foot problem. That problem could be flaring up again.
Bradshaw did not practice on Wednesday and he was listed on the team’s injury report with a foot injury. New York coach Tom Coughlin said that it was a “the same type of thing” that Bradshaw dealt with last year.
The last two games Bradshaw has carried a heavy workload. He carried 30 times against the Browns in Week 5 and followed that up with 27 rushing attempts against the 49ers last week. Prior to those games his career high was 26 carries against the Bills last year.
Holding Bradshaw out of practice seems to be mostly a precautionary measure. Coughlin said that Bradshaw will return to practice on Thursday. It seems that he is likely to play when the Giants host the Redskins on Sunday.
