As it turns out, Black Friday was burgundy and gold Friday. Specifically, burgundy and gold adorned with the number 10.
Thanks to strong Thanksgiving weekend sales, the NFL’s top selling jersey is the Redskins No 10 with “Griffin III” across the back. That is according to the NFL tracking sales through its online store NFLShop.com.
Griffin beat out Peyton Manning for the top spot. Rounding out the top five were fellow quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers, Eli Manning, and Tom Brady.
Success on the field always helps boost jersey sales and Griffin has been one of the most exciting players in the league to watch. He was just named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for November, the second time he has received the honor. Griffin is a strong contender for rookie of the year awards, the Pro Bowl, and has been mentioned by some as an MVP candidate.
