Here is what you need to know on this Monday, December 31, the last day of 2012 and six days before the Redskins take on the Seahawks in the first round of the NFL playoffs.
Alfred Morris fast facts
Here are a few things about Alfred Morris’ rookie season and his 200-yard game on Sunday night:
--He finished the season with 1,613 yards, breaking the team record for a single season. Morris broke the record held by Clinton Portis (1,516 yards, 2005)
--Morris finished the season second in rushing yards in the NFL behind only Adrian Peterson.
--He is the first Redskins rookie to rush for 200 yards in a game and the first Redskin to do it since Gerald Riggs gained 221 against the Eagles in 1989.
--And on a team level, his performance helped set a new Redskins team record with 2,709 rushing yards for the season. That bested the total of 2,625 compiled by the 1983 Redskins.
