Here is what you need to know on this Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, 2012, five days before the Redskins take on the Cowboys in the Game of the Year at FedEx Field.
It’s going to be cold
The calendar says that it’s winter and the weather forecast fits the season this weekend.
We are supposed to get some rain and snow on Saturday that might linger into the morning of game day. The flakes and drops will clear out long before the 8:20 kickoff but it’s going to remain cold. Sunday’s high is going to be 37 so it should be hovering around freezing and dropping by the time the game starts.
The Cowboys already have the cold on their minds. Jason Garrett was asked about it in his presser yesterday.
“We’ll tell guys to get out there early and get comfortable with what they’re wearing (to stay warm). Ultimately, you don’t want your equipment to beat you,” Garrett said. “You want to make sure your equipment is right so you can focus on playing and coaching football.”
It will be the job of the Redskins to make the Cowboys uncomfortable.
One other note for Sunday--Metro will keep the trains running an hour later than they usually do on a Sunday night so if you get to the game via rail you'll have a chance to catch it home.
Oh RG3!
Merry Christmas to all!
