Here is a look at who played how much against the Ravens.
Offense: 73 snaps
Quarterback: Robert Griffin III 66, Kirk Cousins 7
Offensive line: Trent Williams, Kory Lichtensteiger, Will Montgomery, Chris Chester, Tyler Polumbus all played 73 snaps.
Wide receiver: Pierre Garçon 62, Josh Morgan 50, Santana Moss 38, Leonard Hankerson 23, Aldrick Robinson 8
WR per play: 2.4 Garçon’s 62 snaps were by far his season high; the only other game he played more than 39 snaps was when the played 50 in Week 8 at Tampa Bay.
Tight end: Logan Paulsen 71, Chris Cooley 12, Niles Paul 5
That is not a whole lot of action for Cooley but he saw more snaps than he has since his first game back in Week 8 against the Steelers. Perhaps they are trimming back on Paul’s plays a bit because he has taken over the kickoff return duties.
Running back: Alfred Morris 49, Darrel Young 24, Evan Royster 23
Royster only saw more snaps in one game; he played 39 against the Panthers. He was in there mostly for pass blocking as 18 of his 23 snaps were passing plays.
Defense: 64 snaps
Defensive line: Stephen Bowen 47, Barry Cofield 46, Jarvis Jenkins 31, Kedric Golston 24, Chris Baker 13, Doug Worthington 8
Worthington got into his third game of the season; he was added to the 53-man roster after Week 2.
Linebacker: Ryan Kerrigan, London Fletcher, Perry Riley all played 64 snaps; Rob Jackson 55, Lorenzo Alexander 9
It looks like the Redskins are moving towards going with four every-down linebackers. Jackson has earned the right, getting a sack and drawing a key holding call against the Giants and scoring the defender’s triple crown—sack, strip, and fumble recovery—on Joe Flacco on Sunday.
Defensive backs: Josh Wilson, Madieu Williams, DeAngelo Hall all played 64 snaps; Reed Doughty 37, D. J. Johnson 23, Jordan Pugh 14, DeJon Gomes 12, Richard Crawford 1
The Ravens went with three wide receivers on 21 snaps so that is about how many Johnson played in his first action for the Redskins and his first substantial NFL play since he played 53 snaps for the Giants in Week 17 of the 2009 season.
