Here is what you need to know on this Saturday, January 18, 2013, 15 days before Super Bowl XLVII.
Morgan has surgery
The offseason is the time for players to heal up for next season and often that process starts with going under the knife.
On Friday night, Josh Morgan sent out this picture on his Instagram account:
Accompanying the photo was this message:
feetzmorgan202—Surgery was a Success... Painful but worth it thank you god ... Time to heal and get back doing me like I really do #HTTR
It is safe to assume that the surgery is related to the broken ankle he suffered in October of 2011 when he was with the 49ers. It is not unusual to have a few lingering issues cleaned up from such an injury a year or so later.
Casserly: Injury doesn't detract from 2012 success
In case you missed it
- Grading the Redskins: Wide receivers
- Rookie Review: Richard Crawford
Days until: NFL Combine in Indianapolis 33; start of free agency 52; NFL Kickoff Sunday 232

Josh Morgan was a wasted signing by the redskins he he nothing in SF and all did in Washington was cost a game by thowing a ball at D back when the teams was in field goal ragne! I hope he is not back on team next season!
