Morris, Fletcher honored
The Associated Press announced its All-Pro team on Saturday. While no Redskins got named to the first team, running back Alfred Morris and linebacker London Fletcher both got enough votes to make the second team.
Morris, a rookie who the Redskins drafted in the sixth round out of Florida Atlantic, set a Redskins team record with 1,613 yards rushing. Only Adrian Peterson of the Vikings gained more yards than did Morris. Peterson and Houston’s Arian Foster were the two running backs named to the first team ahead of Morris.
Fletcher just completed his 15th NFL season and he led the Redskins in tackles with 139. His five interceptions led the Redskins all NFL linebackers.
The only other Redskin to receive votes was offensive tackle Trent Williams. You can see the full first and second teams and the complete voting breakdown here.
