Here is what you need to know on this Friday, January 25, 27 days before the NFL combine.
RG3 starting to exercise
It wasn’t much, but there was a sliver of news about the rehab of the right knee of Robert Griffin III. This tweet from Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports came across on Thursday:
Cool thing & good news: Redskins are getting daily video updates of RG3's rehab via Internet. He's already doing movement exercises on knee

I’m not a physical therapist or anything but it sounds like movement exercises are workouts to keep the muscles in the area of the knee in shape. A little over two weeks after surgery is too soon to be doing anything that would involve the repaired ligaments.
Griffin is still in Pensacola, Florida at Dr. James Andrews’ facility and he will be for another month or so. Adam Schefter reported last week that Mike Shanahan went to Florida to visit his prized QB. With a lot of work to be done around Redskins Park, the video hookup will allow Shanahan and the training staff to get a good look at Griffin’s progress.
Update: I got a clarification on "movement exercises":
@rich_tandlercsn Movement exercises are for giving full range of motion back to the knee. It only bends 30-50 deg after surgery w/o pain

Super Bowl chat
I’ll be cranking up the chat machine on Super Bowl Sunday. It’s been idle since the playoff loss on Jan. 6 and that’s just too long. We can talk about the game, free agency, the draft, who is going and who should stay.
The exact time of the chat is to be determined but it will be prior to the start of the game and it will roll until either the Niners or Ravens are hoisting the Lombardi.
Check back next week for all of the details.
