On Wednesday, Robert Griffin III met with the press, as usual. When he was done, he joined the press.
Mike Shanahan started his news conference after Griffin was done and the quarterback reentered the auditorium and took a seat. He was handed a microphone and was called on to answer the second question.
“Coach, we just wanted to know,” said Griffin before Shanahan and the assembled media recognized what was going on and started laughing. “What did you do for New Year’s
“You got me by surprise there,” said a smiling Shanahan.
“I tried to put a good game plan together but I wasn’t sure how healthy you were so it was hard without you calling me,” said the coach, laughing.
“You got me good.”
It is safe to say that this group is not too tight going into the playoffs.
