This morning, just before Robert Griffin III was scheduled to go into what is reported to be reconstructive knee surgery, the Redskins quarterback tweeted the following:
Thank you for your prayers and support. I love God, my family, my team, the fans, & I love this game. See you guys next season.

So the 22-year-old appears to be upbeat as he undergoes major knee surgery for the second time since September of 2009. According to reports, his estimated recovery time is six to eight months. The 2013 NFL season is scheduled to have its first full Sunday of regular season games on Sept. 9, eight months from yesterday.
